Privacy Notice

Notices for the ComputeX Stock Agent and related website, checkout, license activation, software delivery, support, and Community Forum services.

Last updated: September 21, 2026. This Notice explains the information handled through the ComputeX Stock Agent website, account, purchase, license activation, software delivery, support, and Community Forum services. It does not replace the privacy notices of PayPal, the storefront, Robinhood, Alpaca, your email provider, or other independent services you choose to use.

1. Information you provide

Account information: username, email address, password hash, verification status, product-access status, and account preferences. ComputeX stores a password hash rather than a readable website password.

Purchase and delivery information: purchaser name, email address, product, order or transaction identifier, amount, date, payment status, and fulfillment records received from the storefront, PayPal, or order-notification email. PayPal and the storefront process payment credentials under their own policies. ComputeX does not ask for or store your PayPal password or full payment-card number.

Forum information: forum username or display name, posts, replies, uploads, private messages, reports, moderation records, and information you voluntarily include. Public posts may be visible to other forum users or the public. Do not post financial credentials or private account information.

Support and email information: your email address, message contents, attachments, delivery and verification status, and the history needed to answer a request, deliver software, verify an account, reset a password, or send service notices.

2. License and technical information

To issue, activate, and verify a Stock Agent license, ComputeX may process your account or checkout email, license identifier and status, a one-way hash of the activation key, a pseudonymous device identifier or hash, a device name supplied by the installer, app version, activation and verification times, and security audit records. Website and forum systems may also record IP address, browser or device details, request times, security events, and essential cookie or session identifiers for login, fraud prevention, forum access, and service reliability.

3. Information that normally remains local

The desktop Stock Agent is designed so broker and market-data credentials, account settings, formulas, local logs, market data, candidate lists, positions, orders, and trading history are configured or stored on your computer. ComputeX does not need your brokerage password for website membership, checkout, forum use, or license activation. Information must still be sent directly to Robinhood or Alpaca when needed to authenticate, request data, reconcile an account, or submit an enabled instruction. Those providers handle it under their own terms and privacy notices.

4. How information is used

ComputeX uses information to create and secure accounts; verify email and purchases; deliver installers and activation keys; activate and verify licenses; operate forum access; respond to support; send transactional and important service messages; prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized license sharing; maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the service; enforce agreements; and comply with law.

5. When information is shared

Information may be shared only as reasonably necessary with providers supporting checkout and payment processing, email delivery, website and forum hosting, security, software delivery, and license operation; with Robinhood or Alpaca when you configure the desktop agent to use them; to comply with law or protect users and the service; or as part of a merger, financing, acquisition, or transfer of relevant business assets. ComputeX does not sell personal information or provide it to third parties for their own targeted advertising.

6. Retention and security

Information is kept only as long as reasonably needed for account and license operation, purchase and tax records, support history, forum continuity and moderation, security, disputes, and legal obligations. Retention periods vary by record type. ComputeX uses reasonable safeguards, but no computer, transmission, storage system, or third-party service is completely secure.

7. Your choices and rights

You can update supported account information and control what you publish in the forum. You may ask ComputeX to access, correct, or delete applicable personal information, subject to identity verification and records retained for security, licensing, transactions, disputes, or law. Rights vary by location. Provider-side requests must be directed to PayPal, the storefront, Robinhood, Alpaca, or the relevant independent provider.

8. Age, changes, and contact

The Stock Agent and related purchasing and forum services are intended for adults and are not directed to children under 18. ComputeX may update this Notice as services or legal obligations change. Questions and privacy requests may be sent through the support email or contact method displayed on the ComputeX website or in purchase communications.

Effective September 21, 2026. These notices may change as products, providers, and checkout terms change.
